Hanzimanolis Elected 2007-2008 NAMB President
McLean, Va. - June 24, 2007 - The National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB) today announced that George Hanzimanolis, CRMS, president of Bankers First Mortgage in Tannersville, Penna., became NAMB President at the NAMB REIGNS 2007 Annual Convention and Exposition. This year's conference is taking place June 21-25, in Seattle, Wash.
.Each year, during the convention, NAMB elects six officers to actively promote the Association's objectives.
"I am very excited to work with NAMB and its members to advance and better the mortgage industry," said Hanzimanolis. "Harry Dinham has done a tremendous job with the organization and I look forward to leading NAMB to continued success."
Hanzimanolis has been an active member of NAMB, which helped him earn the 2004-2005 Broker of the Year award. He was the NAMB President-Elect this year, and served on the Board of Directors for three years prior to that appointment. He also has devoted a large amount of time to serving on several NAMB committees, including the Industry Partners, Conference, Membership, and the FHA Committees.
Since 1992, Hanzimanolis has been president of Bankers First Mortgage, which employs 30 individuals in five Pennsylvania locations and one Virginia office. He has been in the mortgage broker industry for nearly 20 years.
NAMB is the only national trade association solely dedicated to serving mortgage brokers. The Association promotes professionalism in the industry by offering education courses, three levels of certification, news publications, national and regional meetings, and other services.
